Europe is facing drug shortages. The Commission is looking for solutions in a polarizing narrative and ever-increasing subsidies for Big Pharma. According to them, China is the big enemy, and with Trump's attacks, they don't know what to do. This narrative hides the real opposition, between private companies and public money. The topic is current given the recently proposed Critical Medicines Act, which will come into force this summer.
