Rebuilding class consciousness and reclaiming its pride are key strategies to putting the left back on the offensive—and winning. Time to put the working class back at the center of the debate and as an engine of change.

Nadia Moscufo is a PVDA-PTB working class cadre and member of the party's political bureau. She is a member of the federal parliament. Previously, she worked as a cashier and union representative at Aldi for over 20 years.

Christine Olivier is from South Africa and is the assistant general secretary of the international industry trade union IndustriALL.

Benjamin Pestieau is deputy general secretary of the PVDA-PTB and heads the party's world of labor department.
