(FULLY BOOKED) (Introduction) Marxist Political Economy for Today

Sunday 12th of July, 10:00 - 13:00

Martial Toniotti

Language: English

"In political economy, one finds the anatomy of society," said Marx. 180 years later, this principle is more relevant than ever: to understand the major phenomena that disrupt our contemporary societies, we must tackle the evil at its root. In this course, you will learn to decipher international tensions, the ecological crisis, and the financial world through the lens of Marxist political economy.

The course starts from some basic principles of Marxist political economy and then applies them to contemporary problems. It is suitable for beginners and those who are already more advanced.

Martial Toniotti is an economist specializing in energy economics at UCLouvain
